Flat Out Sleigh Ride

Notice to Participants for Corporate Team
1. Any corporation or organisation is eligible to participate in the OSC Flat Out Sleigh Ride 2016 (Ride).
2. Each participating team must consist of 8-10 participants who have reached the age of 18 or above.
  1. Maximum capacity is 20 teams, enrolled on a first-come, first-serve basis.
  2. Entry will only be processed after receipt of full payment of Team’s donation (a minimum of HK$30,000 for Corporate Team).
  3. Participants must submit completed registration forms to the Ride Organiser by no later than 6:00pm, 30 November 2016.
  4. Only completed registration form shall be considered valid entries.
  5. Successfully registered Teams will be further contacted by OSC Team via email by 6 Decemeber, 2016 for further submit the donation amount and team list. A non-refundable donation (entry-fee) of HK$30,000 and team list for the Ride must then be paid before 13 December, 2016 in order for the registration form to be processed.
  6. Upon receipt of the donation, the participating team will be entered as an official participant of the Ride.
  7. Donation receipt will be issued for donations of over HK$100. The receipts will be mailed to organisation by email.
  8. Entry fee is non-refundable and non-transferrable after application accepted.
  9. The organiser reserves the right to change the venue before or during the Ride without prior notice to the participants.
  10. By submitting team’s entry, each applicant agrees to observe and accept all terms and conditions of the event.
Event Day & Preparation:
  1. Participants must wear suitable running shoes and sportswear.
  2. Team leader must register in person at the registration counter for himself/ herself and his/ her team members before 09:30am on event day to participate in the Ride.
  3. Participants in the event must ensure that they are medically and physically fit to participate in the ride. Any person who is pregnant or suffering from any chronic disease such as heart disease or high blood pressure should not participate.
  4. Participants should seek advice from medical practitioners when and wherever necessary.
  5. Participants may withdraw from the Ride if they are feeling unwell during the Ride. Participants may contact the duty personnel for assistance if necessary.
  6. Participants are strongly recommended to undertake adequate training and team-building preparation before the event.
  7. The Ride Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any participant who is known or suspected to be physically unfit to participate in the event.
  8. The Ride Organiser will not provide storage for personal items and is not liable for any loss or damage to personal property. All belongings, including valuable items brought to the race site, are at the risk of their owners.
Bad weather arrangement:
In the event of one of the following circumstances happening before 5am on the event day, the event will be cancelled:
  1. The event will be cancelled if a red or black rainstorm signal or a tropical cyclone signal No.3 or above is issued by the Hong Kong Observatory before 5am on the event day.
  2. Entry fee is non-refundable should the Ride be cancelled due to bad weather or road conditions.
Please pay attention to the updated weather information on TV and/or radio and/or the Observatory website. You are advised to check the Operation Santa Claus website osc.scmp.com in the morning of the event for any last minute changes or cancellations.
